This machine lays plastic row mulch over the newly worked (tilled) soil. This gives great advantage when planting in new fields where weeds may be an issue as well as increases the soil temperatures from 5-15*F (certain types of plastic permitted). This also allows air to move around plants and keep the leaves from sitting in water, which could lead to weakened or injured plant.
1600 model water wheel planter:
This machine allows us to bulk plant. This one machine will replace literally days of work in 1 hour. It is tractor driven and works best with three people. Once the plastic has been laid, the planter is pulled at 1-3 mph. As the planter moves a wheel with predetermined spacing spikes puncture wholes where two people positioned in the seats behind the tractor insert plants. This will speed things up a bit. season we have added two such pieces tht allow the farm to work more efficiently with time management, which may decrease the cost which you the consumer will have to pay at the register.
