Curried Potato Soup


  • Combination of New Red and Yukon Gold potatoes
  • One Vidalia onion & one red onion, chopped
  • Several small cloves of garlic
  • Seasonings: Cumin, tumericm mustard powder, ginger, curry powder, nutmeg


Simmer potatoes until tender in salted water.

Meanwhile sauté onions and garlic in butter until tender.

Season onions with: Cumin..tumeric..mustard powder…ginger..curry powder….nutmeg.

Put a few ladles full of potato water in seasoned onions. Drain potatoes, combine with seasoned onions. Add salt and pepper.

Add enough Contoocook Creamery whole milk to transform potato mixture into a silken soup.

Use a blender. Chill.

Adjust seasonings…. Enjoy!
